I offer personalized, thoughtful college application guidance for students rooted in my experience in college access work, my love for writing, and my passion for education.

I graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a BA in English Literature. Within my English major, I specialized in writing Creative Nonfiction, which is a branch of creative writing that utilizes literary techniques to tell factual stories. Many students will gain experience with analytical or argumentative writing through essay assignments in high school. Most schools, however, do not teach students how to write about themselves. College applications are an opportunity for a student to tell part of their story, highlight their accomplishments, and display their character. My background in Creative Nonfiction helps me guide students through the writing process so that they can create engaging essays that underscore their success and potential.

My approach is grounded in both my work with students and my experience as an applicant myself. I earned a Master’s degree from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York. In the process of applying to graduate schools, I learned how to organize and track my application materials to simplify the process. I now offer this method to my clients. I have also worked as a copy editor for arts publications, which allowed me to serve as a second set of eyes for writers. I draw on this experience to help students refine their writing.

I have had the privilege of guiding high schoolers through the intricacies of the college application process in my role as an Assistant Director of an education nonprofit that helps underserved students prepare for and succeed in college. The students that I work with submit thoughtful, engaging application materials that allow admissions officers to gain insight into their achievements and passions. Recent students of mine have been admitted to top institutions such as Columbia, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and USC.

I also previously served as an Alumni Interviewer and a District Enrollment Director for the Admissions Office at Dartmouth College, which has allowed me to gain insight into multiple perspectives of the admissions process.

I have earned the Independent Educational Consultant’s Certificate from the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the Certified Advisor Badge from the National College Attainment Network.
